InStAR program and website updates

Beginning today, InStAR is conducting a comprehensive redesign of its website, which will be relaunched and made publicly available beginning February 1, 2018. With the website redesign, InStAR will be positioning itself to begin to fully work to achieve its mission, which is to promote and expand conduct of the Astronomy Research Seminar in the U.S. and around the world.

In addition, InStAR will begin offering online, non-accredited courses including different topical versions of the Seminar as well as complementary courses in different areas of astronomy.

The website redesign will highlight current Seminar activity across the U.S., offer an online forum to encourage collaboration among Seminar groups and schools interested in adopting the Seminar, and feature an online store where students and citizen scientists can buy textbooks and can enroll in various versions of the Seminar and other astronomy-related courses.
